Dogloo Dog House

The Dogloo is an igloo shaped dog house from Petmate that comes in small, medium, large, extra large, and giant dog sizes. Its dome-shaped walls are made from a hard structural foam. Conduit over the extended doorway help keeps rainwater flowing off to the sides, not over the door. The Dogloo house includes a food dish that hangs on a wire holder right outside the doorway for a quick doggie snack. Optional features include nylon floor pads and a door.

One of the advantages of the Dogloo is that it is made from non-porous plastic that is easy to clean, won't rot, and prevents fleas from nesting. Just hose it out, let it dry, and Fido is good to go. It's also fairly lightweight compared to a wood doghouse so it's easy to move - although not so light that your dog will be pushing it around the yard. Larger dogs will benefit from an adjustable top vent that helps keep the interior cooler in summer, and minimizes condensation.
